A Hunting He Will Go.. and I Miss Him!

Every year, Tony goes on a hunting trip in the mountain range past Moab. These pictures are actually from our Camping trip we took with Tony's family this past August. Tony wanted to show us the awe inspiring scenery he gets to enjoy every year on his hunting trips. Tony is there right now hunting Elk with his buddies from work and will go again in a couple of weeks to try and get a deer bigger than the one he got last year... yay. I do have to admit, I miss him when he is gone, it's times like this that help me appreciate my hubby a little more and all that he does for out family. The picture above is the top of the Lasal Mountain range.
As you follow the trail up to the top, there is cute little shack tucked around the bend. When you go inside, it looks like hunters still stay there every year. I don't think I could do it, I saw a few mice running through the floor boards. Yuck! Give me my nice clean tent with an air mattress.

Here is one of the many views we enjoyed on our way to the top

You can tell that we had been camping for a couple of days in this picture! This was at the top of the mountain. No that's not a tan on my face... it's dirt.

Britten and Jaden waiting for a four wheeler ride.

AJ loved taking four wheeler rides with his Dad. Every time Tony wanted to go and scout deer for his upcoming hunting trip, AJ just had to go with him.

Every time Tony leaves for hunting, this is what I get to wake up to in the mornings.

That's not all, Trace usually wakes up around 5:00 am, so he joins us too! Where do I sleep you ask? Good question! I can't wait until you get back Tony, I miss you!

Gypsy Lemonade!

So I am letting all of my beloved friends and family know about my wonderful Sister in Law, Rachelle, has a new and wonderful blog to follow. Rachelle and her family are making some great sacrificing life changes and she needs all the support she can get. Her Husband (Tony's brother Matt) decided in order to be a good bread winner, to travel for his business. These trips will be at least 1 to 3 months in each area. As you can imagine this was not the easiest decision to come to. Matt would hardly get to see his beautiful 3 children and wife. Well Rachelle, being the creative, inspired woman she is came up with a plan. Why not travel with Matt? It is better to stay together than be apart right? Matt and Shell decided to put their dream home up for sale and put their possessions in storage. The best part? Shell will be homeschooling their children while traveling. What better Way to keep the children's environment stable. I am asking all of my fellow bloggers to help support my brave sister in law for taking on such a challenge so she can help keep her family together. Add gypsylemonade.blogspot.com to your list! You can follow along with all of their fun adventures! Love ya Shell!

Jenny Phillips Recording Session

This was such a cool day! I had the opportunity to record a competition song with Jenny Phillips. The winner of the competition will get the opportunity to sing this song on the 2010 EFY cd. I am so grateful for this once in a life time experience. I only had 20 minutes to record so some of the spots are pitchy, but it sure was fun! My Aunt Jo, Leah, all of my brothers and my son Jaden were able to come into the session with me.
Me after recording.

This was the booth I recorded the song in.

Here is Jenny Phillips giving me advice on how to improve the song.

My little bros,Brady, Dusty and Max.

Eapy Creapy Spider!

Tony found this spider in our garage. He was getting ready for our camping trip and it nearly ran over his shoe! We are trying to figure out what kind of spider it is. It is about 3 inches long with the legs and is covered in hair. Of course Jaden had to put it in a jar and named it Sharp Tooth. i hope it won't last too long because the thing gives mr the creeps! I feel like I have spiders crawling all over me!

Back Yard Fun!

This Summer we 've been having alot of fun in our back yard. I got a big blow up slide for the kids to play on last week. It looked so much fun and it was so hot, that I decided to try it out.... in my clothes.
The boys love going down. This gives them hours of entertainment.

We also roaseted marshmellows in the backyard last Sunday. AJ was mroe interested in startin his marshmellow on fire than eatint them though.

I love times like this that we can have fun and spend time together. I am so sad that we only have 1 month before school starts again. :(

Mmmmm Smores....
